Terms of purchase

1. Parties: These terms and conditions are entered into between:

Duckling ApS, CVR 43764810 (hereinafter referred to as “Duckling” or “us”), and the customer (hereinafter referred to as “user” or “you”), who purchases a membership via Duckling’s platform.

2. Memberships and Payment: Duckling offers two types of memberships that support the development of the next version of Duckling

  • Early Bird Membership: 1,99 USD  / Month:

      • Grants access to Duckling Academy, a learning space with courses on democratic education, storytelling, critical thinking, and similar topics.

      • Duckling Academy is expected to launch in 2025.

      • Payment is automatically deducted each month via the selected payment method.

      • No binding period. Can be canceled at any time without notice.

  • Lifetime Membership: One-time payment of 149 USD:

      • Grants access to all paid features and services launched in the future, including Duckling Academy, expected to launch in 2025.

      • The one-time payment is charged at the time of purchase, and access is granted immediately or as soon as Duckling’s paid features and services are launched.

      • If the user wishes to cancel their Lifetime Membership, they can do so by contacting contact@duckling.co.

3. Payment: We accept the following payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, MobilePay, Apple Pay, Google Pay.

You agree to provide updated, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all transactions made through our services.

For recurring payments (memberships and subscriptions), you consent to us charging your selected payment method on a recurring basis without requiring prior approval for each payment until you cancel the applicable order.

We reserve the right to refuse any order placed through our services.

4. Delivery: Access to Duckling’s membership features is activated immediately after payment is completed. Once planned features are launched, the user will gain access. The user will receive an email with access information when these features become available.

5. Right of Withdrawal: In accordance with consumer protection laws, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the purchase date for both membership types.

If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must contact us in writing via email at contact@duckling.co.

6. Return Policy: As Duckling provides digital services, no returns are accepted once the membership has been activated. If you experience any issues, please contact us at contact@duckling.co.

7. Assumption of Risk: Duckling is an early-stage startup with a high risk of failure. By contributing, you acknowledge and accept that you are purchasing a membership to support our mission. There is no guarantee that Duckling will achieve its anticipated goals or deliver specific results.

8. Products: We reserve the right to discontinue the sale of any product at any time and for any reason. The price of Early Bird Membership and Lifetime Membership cannot be changed without the customer's written consent.

9. Complaint Handling: If you have a complaint about your membership or our services, you can contact us via email at contact@duckling.co. We strive to respond to all inquiries within 5 business days.

If we are unable to reach a resolution, you have the option to file a complaint with:

  • The Danish Consumer Complaints Board (https://naevneneshus.dk/)

  • The EU Online Dispute Resolution Platform (https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr)

10. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes between the user and Duckling must first be attempted to be resolved through dialogue. If no resolution is reached, the dispute will be settled under Danish law with the Copenhagen City Court as the legal venue.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions: Duckling reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. In the case of significant changes, users will be informed via email or on our platform.
